GENERAL PUROSE OF THE JOB:
The world of Healthcare is changing constantly. Your responsibility will be to assist the valuation of business development and acquisition initiatives outside the US market. You will report directly to the CFO of DaVita International.


WHAT WILL BE YOU BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR?

  • Drive high priority International Finance, M&A, business development initiatives as part of a team that supports the CFO of DaVita International
  • Own end-to-end impact, from analytics, to solution design, implementation and change management.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the business with significant exposure to senior leaders
  • Be the owner of the international M&A/business development pipeline, including:
  • Providing the international and Enterprise CFO as well as international CEO with key insights on all M&A and business development initiatives
  • Regularly interact with M&A and business development teams across all geographies, act as challenge/sounding board and support them where necessary (e.g., financial modelling, input on SPA drafting, financial due diligence, review of deal structure)
  • Prepare monthly M&A pipeline reports including financial forecasts by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data on the international M&A pipeline
  • Review all international M&A projects before final approval, including financial model and business case
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to manage, control, and improve the M&A process
  • Drive regular deal performance reviews and compare model to actual performance

 

  • Manage M&A projects independently that are driven from the international HQ (e.g., new countries/services), including financial modelling, financial due diligence, SPA drafting with legal team, managing advisors, and managing the internal approval process. This is true for start up markets that do not have BD function or for new initiatives driven by the head office.
  • Support country teams and the international strategy team in developing business cases for non-M&A projects such as Greenfields or diversification into new services
  • Contribute and independently drive creation of key leadership communications, such as presentations for the International CEO and Board of Directors
  • Create long term forecasts in collaboration with the international FP&A and country teams
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses to support the international CFO as necessary


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in M&A, ideally a combination of investment banking / Big4 and corporate M&A
  • Outstanding conceptual, financial, analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Proven experience working in high pressured international environment with different time zones
  • Strong verbal and written communications, including presentation skills
  • Detail orientation and a high degree of accuracy is required
  • Strong sense of accountability with a passion for owning projects and driving them to completion
  • Self-starter, assertive, with a high degree of self-confidence
  • Takes initiative with an action-oriented attitude
  • Anticipates risks and problems with the project before they occur
  • Advanced Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Fluency in English. Business fluency in German, Portuguese or Arabic is considered a plus
  • Travel required: up to 25%
